Letter to our Rehoboth congregants
Re: Service time changes
Shalom beloved congregants,
G-d has richly blessed our congregation by giving us so many ministries to bless His body!
There is a difficulty though with many of the ministries not having enough time and space, especially on Shabbat, to minister! Our oneg, worship dance, worship music, teaching, and prayer ministries all feel the pressure of time constraints. As I have given careful thought to this difficulty … the below verse keeps coming into my heart as I have sought the L-RD.
KJV Exodus 25
8 And let them make Me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.
There is a tugging in my heart that we are not allowing G-d time to “dwell” in these ministries.
Rehoboth’s leadership (elders, shamasheem) have spoken with me at different times about this pressing need to have the Shabbat be less demanding with time constraints so that the ministries will be able to minister more effectively.
After much prayer and the leading of G-d’s Spirit in this pressing
A unanimous decision was reached by the elders, with leadership in agreement, that our present
2 p.m. Shabbat service will be consolidated into one 10:30 a.m. service beginning the 1st Shabbat of July (7/6/19).
We do realize that for some this may place a hardship on those who have attended the congregation’s 2 p.m. service. Remember … our service is broadcast live both on our website (rehoboth-messianic.org) and on Facebook. The quality of our broadcast has improved greatly since we first began live streaming. A possible solution is to watch our service live and then later come to the Rehoboth building for oneg fellowship and attend wonderful in-depth teachings about our G-d!
8(a) Not only that, but I consider everything a disadvantage in comparison with the supreme value of knowing the Messiah Yeshua as my Lord. …
Thank you for your understanding with this time change as
the elders and myself have sought the L-RD and prayed earnestly for His Spirit’s
leading. I look forward to seeing G-d’s ministries that He has given us to
further blossom and bloom as we go forward!
