About Ellie
I was raised in the Pacific Northwest and live in Vancouver, Washington, and Florida. I’m the wife of a Messianic Rabbi, and for 29 years I’ve been leading worship at Rehoboth Congregation and writing songs. I love worshiping and praising our Lord and Savior Yeshua (Jesus). My husband and I have taken groups to Israel 17 times.
My grandmother loved to sing for the Lord and made a few vinyl records in her day, so I like to think I have a few of those genes passed down.
I believe I was called to worship from the time I was very small. One of my earliest memories is of the swing my dad built for me in our basement. While I waited for breakfast, I would swing and sing my heart out to Jesus, using the words that came from my heart, and it seemed like hours. Today I can still do the same as a worship leader: I play a few chords, words flood my soul, and I sing them to our Lord, encouraging others to follow and join in.
My Music
Worshipful, powerful, gentle, and intimate with the Lord, singing His Word. The Bible, along with the Holy Spirit, has been my main source of inspiration.
The Message Behind the Songs
Spending time with God in prayer and worship, sitting at His feet, confirming God’s Word in you, and building you up in the Lord with His promises. It is about walking out your salvation with God and learning who you are in the Lord, so that you can be confident and empowered.
Albums
God Is Calling, Return to Me
24 songs: two albums in one. This album was inspired by the Lord as a call to come back to Him. The times are at hand for His return. The cover photo was taken in Israel at Beit Shean, looking up the stairs over the city.
A few of the songs that have become favorites of others:
